Garage Door Before & After in Garland, TX

Nobody asks to see our business card when we pull up. They ask to see the last driveway we worked on. Fair question. We’ve been turning broken, tired, and stuck garage doors back into the best-looking part of the house since 2004. These projects come straight from neighborhoods around Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, and Mesquite. You’ll recognize the problems, because half of them happen on your own street.

Recent Transformations

Torsion Spring Failure on a Two-Car Door in Firewheel

Project photo coming soon: broken torsion spring, Firewheel area
Before: door stuck shut with the car trapped inside. After: new spring pair installed, door balanced and quiet.

The homeowner called at 7:15 on a Tuesday morning. The spring had snapped overnight and the door would not budge. High-tension springs are not a DIY repair, and this one had let go with enough force to dent the track bracket. We replaced both springs as a matched pair, set the tension, and had the car out before the coffee got cold. The before photo shows a door that would not move. The after photo shows the same door opening with one finger.

Full Door Replacement After Storm Damage in Club Hill

Project photo coming soon: wind-damaged panel replacement, Club Hill
Before: hail and wind damage across three top panels. After: new Clopay insulated door, new weatherstripping.

North Texas hail does not miss. The top three panels looked like someone took a ball-peen hammer to them, and the door had started binding halfway up. We pulled the old door, checked the opener for stress, and installed a new Clopay insulated steel door rated for Garland weather. We also replaced the bottom seal and side weatherstripping while we were in there. The door now opens smooth and seals tight against the summer heat.

Opener Replacement on an Original 1998 Unit in Holiday Park

Project photo coming soon: old chain-drive opener to new belt-drive, Holiday Park
Before: chain-drive opener loud enough to hear two houses down. After: LiftMaster belt drive, nearly silent.

The opener in this Holiday Park home was original to the house. It worked, sort of, but it sounded like a cement mixer. The homeowner figured the opener was the problem. It usually is not, but in this case the sprocket was worn flat. We replaced it with a LiftMaster belt-drive unit and set the travel limits correctly, which the old one never had. The after photo does not do it justice. You have to hear it to believe it.

Panel-by-Panel Repair After a Bumper Strike in Creek Valley

Project photo coming soon: crushed bottom panel, Creek Valley
Before: bottom panel caved in from a slow-speed bumper catch. After: panel replaced, door rehung and balanced.

Someone backed into the door before it fully opened. The bottom panel was caved in and the door had jumped a roller out of the track. We replaced the damaged panel, reinstalled the section, and adjusted the track so the door did not carry the memory of the hit. The before photo shows a door that looks like a folded soda can. The after photo shows the same door, same color, no sign it ever happened.

Rusted Roller and Track Hardware in Downtown Garland

Project photo coming soon: rusted rollers and bent track, Downtown Garland
Before: rusted rollers grinding in a bent track. After: new nylon rollers, track section replaced.

This home near the square had a door that shuddered every time it moved. The rollers were rusted solid and one track section had bent enough to catch the roller edge. We replaced all rollers with sealed nylon units and swapped the damaged track. The homeowner said it was the first time in five years they did not flinch when opening the door. The before photo shows rust streaks on the tracks. The after photo shows clean steel and a door that glides.

Every job above started with a phone call and ended with a door that works like it should. We will quote your repair over the phone and hold that number at your driveway. Before and after photos are fine, but the real proof is when you open the door yourself and hear nothing. Call (945) 202-2600. Otto or one of his crew answers, and we will be there when we say we will.
